Bart Hawkins
Bart Hawkins is a recording artist specializing in modular synthesis. In 2017, Bart finally realized his long time dream and began the deep dive into modular synthesis. His first album, 21 Pulse Eclipse, intended for family and friends, was picked up by Spotted Peccary Music. His album “Nonlinear Crossroads” on Cyclical Dream label marks his 7th album to date. Bart Hawkins’ three decades experience as a professional film and video producer, has translated well into visionary music. Early in his career, Bart had the rare and unique opportunity to live with the Hopi for 2 years and produced two documentary films for the tribe. While on a documentary project in India, Bart had several private talks with the Dalai Lama during his stay. Some of his clients include Turner Broadcasting, Coca-Cola, CNN, HGTV, The Weather Channel, Synergy Films, Wisdom Channel and many others. Some of his interests and inspirations include, solitude and contemplation, nature, sculpting and painting, providing spiritual care for end of life patients, architecture and natural home building, healing and the shamanic arts, consciousness research projects, orchestral works, jazz, blues, avant- garde, Andre Tarkovsky, Bill Viola, Steve Reich, Edgar Froese, Jean Michel Jarre, Holger Czukay, Robert Fripp, David Gilmour, Terry Riley, XTC, Pere Ubu, Mike Patton, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Taraf De Haidouks, and many more.
