Almost Random is a France-based artist who creates narrative ambient music. Since his debut track (“Opportunity”), a collaboration with The Oxide Project, his primary inspiration has been to offer listeners an experience akin to a story, inviting each person to imagine their own narrative.

Following a debut album centered on the concepts of Memory and Imagination (Time Does Not Exist - 2025), Almost Random presents Fragments From a Waning World, an exploration of Lovecraftian mythology.

Almost Random works almost exclusively with Eurorack modular synthesizers, drawing inspiration from the sounds of pioneers of electronic and concrete music such as Eliane Radigue and Daphne Oram to craft compositions where chance and serendipity are never truly absent...
