Marek Manowski was born in 1966 in Poznań, Poland. He is a pianist, keyboardist, and also plays classical and acoustic guitar, ukulele, and percussion instruments. He graduated from music schools in Poznań, where he studied piano and percussion, and also learned to play classical guitar.
For over 30 years, he has been creating classic electronic music in the so-called "old style," drawing inspiration from the artists who shaped this genre. His work also shows the influence of classical music, ethnic elements, and progressive rock. The greatest influence on him was the work of Vangelis, and in the early period, the classic albums of Tangerine Dream.
A concert by the latter group in Poland in 1983, which he attended as a teenager, made a huge impression on him. The work of Mike Oldfield and Andreas Vollenweider also had a great impact, as did classical music—from Bach and Debussy to his beloved Chopin.
He is currently a teacher and instructor for piano, classical guitar, and ukulele. For many years, he also helped people with disabiliti.
